  1. Ally,
I really enjoyed seeing your final presentation bout confidence. I liked how you said a confident teacher will be willing to take risks and go the extra mile, along with that they need to be able to admit their mistakes and learn from them. This is so important because in teaching we are always learning from are mistakes to better ourselves and students. The other comment you made that I liked was that students need to be comfortable in are ability. If students can tell we are not comfortable in what we are teaching they will not be comfortable in what they are learning.

  2. I enjoyed this presentation. It was helpful to see tips for becoming a confident teacher. I think a lot of teachers, especially new teachers, lack confidence. Not only are they responsible for educating youth, but they have to deal with parents, staff, and possibly communities problems. This was a great topic to choose!

  3. This is a topic that I have been interested in since day one. At the start of the semester, confidence was the one thing I really wanted to work on improving. I especially agree with the fact that teachers need to be prepared and know the material they are going to be teaching. I also agree with the fact that helping students succeed increases their self-confidence and ours. I have personally seen this within my clinical placement this semester. It's great to see!

  4. I think you picked a very important topic. I agree with the comments above. I think as first year teachers, even student teachers we lack self confidence because we want to do everything perfect and we fear of making mistakes. I think part of being confident is being prepared and having expectations set up right away so that you as the teacher know what to expect from your students. I know when I taught Math to my kindergartners (after planning and being organized) and after they got it and could verbalize their understanding of what I was teaching them I felt so confident in my teaching. It was the best feeling in the world. I thought your presentation had a lot of concrete facts and it turned out nice.
