I like the comment about using your senses in science. We have been teaching a multi-day lesson to 2nd graders on water pollution where the students are mixing things into water. They are making predictions and the making observations. The predictions and observations are all based on how the water looks, smells, feels, tastes, and sounds. We try to limit the tasting as are mixing in some things that would taste pretty gross, but the point is that their observations are all based on their senses. If the students were to look at the changes on a computer or in a video, they would not be able to feel or smell the changes and it would not be as concrete of an experience. Good reminder that science is closely related to your senses.
I really like how creative this is! It's a great way to show the main points of all your blogs. I think the focus of your blogs is such a good topic to cover! Budget is something many of us forget about when thinking about teaching, yet we will be faced with budget problems when we do begin to teach! Technology can be so expensive and I like the fact you made a point about how we don't need technology to be effective teachers! Well done!
Your Glog looks great, and you hit a lot of the main/important points! The only thing that I found problematic was that some of the writing was so small I had a hard time reading it. Besides that, It was really nice!
I did a Glog as well. I thought it was a great way to display what I learned. I think that glogster could also be used in the classroom for a presentation, although I wouldn't want to over use it. Your display was great but I also had a hard time reading some of the wording because of the size, other than that great work!
